THE LIONS INTERNATIONAL PEACE POSTER CONTEST was created in 1988 with the aim of uniting the world’s youth through visual communication. It gives young people throughout the world a chance to think about world peace and creatively express what it means to them.

Once again our Youth Officer, Lion Trevor Slade organised the competition and two schools, Stanchester School at Stoke-sub-Hamdon and The Park School in Yeovil took part. The standard of entry was high and the task of choosing the best was difficult. The posters of  Kate Gould and Alice Hawkins were submitted to the next round of competition which embraced the South West Region of Lions International (Great Britain).

The winners were as follows:

3rd    Lucy Turner
